About Us
Tydan Specialty Blades Inc. was founded by Jim in 1996. The business originally specialized in manufacturing of industrial blades. In 2012, Jim and his son Tyler designed and manufactured the first Tydan Performance Blade for hockey. It was very quickly adopted and recognized as a top brand by professionals, junior and minor hockey players all over the world. Fast forward 10 years, and the Tydan Team discontinued manufacturing skate blades and instead focused on providing quality services to hockey players. To this day, the Tydan Team remains the industry leader in skate blade profiling and sharpening, trusted by all 32 NHL teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and players such as Sidney Crosby.
